ISTANBUL (AP) — A Turkish official says two explosions have rocked Istanbul's Ataturk airport, wounding multiple people. The resolution  emanated from a motion titled "need to ascertain  the proceeds of the treasury single account to enhance transparency accountability and good governance" Lawmakers noted that the TSA Is a financial  policy being implemented  by the Federal Government to consolidate all inflows from Ministries, departments and agencies into one single account maintained by the Central Bank of Nigeria with the aim of ensuring accountability  of government  revenues. Billionaire Founder of Virgin Group, Richard Branson went to Virgin Australia Headquarters at Sydney Airport to meet cabin crew and stumbled across a snoozing member of staff and Branson says the guy was so shocked when he woke him up that he went back to sleep again. Branson joked: ‘This guy wasn’t up to much at all – I caught him sleeping on the job! Wow, did he get a shock when I woke him up. NFF President Amaju Pinnick on Thursday led a delegation from the Nigeria Football Federation to the Benin residence of former Captain/ Coach of the Super Eagles, the late Stephen Keshi, to commiserate with his family members. With Amaju Pinnick were Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Mr. Tony Okowa, chairmen of the Football Associations of Edo and Bayelsa States, Frank Ilaboya and Porbeni Ogun respectively, renowned marketing consultant Mike Itemuagbor, former Super Eagles captain Austin Eguavoen, a number of ex –international players among others. The delegation was received by the late Keshi’s brother-in-law, Ricky Aburimen and cousin, Ebuka Ofonye. NFF President, Amaju Pinnick delivered a condolence letter to the family, and reiterated that the NFF Board will soon meet to consider the most befitting way to immortalize the late legend. British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran has been sued for $20m by Martin Harrington and Thomas Leonard, and their publishing company HaloSongs for allegedly copying their 2009 song "Amazing to form his song "Photograph". NFF CRISIS: House of Reps. vows to end Crisis.

The House of Representatives committee on sports has promised to put and end to the lingering crisis in the Nigeria football federation. The  deputy chairman of the committee said this after an executive session was held between the members of the committee and parties involved in the crisis. Package. .... Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, today announced the scrapping of post UTME examinations organized by various Universities for prospective students who partake in JAMB examinations. Speaking at the opening of the 2016 Combined Policy Meeting on Admissions to Universities, Polytechnics and other higher institutions in Nigeria, Adamu said the Federal government had confidence in the examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), adding that there was no need for other examination to be conducted by universities after JAMB.  “As far as I am concerned, the nation has confidence in what JAMB is doing. Power: NERC bans mass disconnection of consumers

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission on Tuesday announced an outright ban on the mass disconnection of electricity consumers by power distribution companies across the country. In May, the power distribution companies commenced what they described as the mass disconnection of chronic debtors, who allegedly owed them N94bn. The Executive Director, Association of Nigeria Electricity Distributors, Mr. Sunday Oduntan, who confirmed the mass disconnection exercise, stressed that the Discos published advertisements in all major newspapers asking the chronic debtors to pay up within 10 days. But NERC, in a public announcement on Tuesday, said its attention had been drawn to incidents of mass disconnection of electricity supply to communities, villages, local government areas and estates by the distribution companies on the excuse of non-payment of electricity bills.
