Proposed Telecom Auction: Reps to avert Job Losses.

The House of Representatives  has mandated it's House committee on Telecommunications  to investigate and resolve all pending issues connected with the proposed auction.
Lawmakers noted that in other to recover 2.6GHz spectrum for optimal utilization and generate increase revenue for the growth of the economy, The NCC decided to auction the spectrum.
The resolution emanated from a motion considered as National Urgent importance sponsored by Donye Diri.
He Noted that while the auctioning may be necessary  to meet up with the digital compliance,there is need to build confident in all the parties that are current  stakeholders and fair opportunity should be given to all to participate  without being  short changed.
The chairman committee on Telecommunications however stressed that employment generation and protection  of business  Is a key component of the legislative agenda of the 8th assemby
The House however called for the need to avert all job losses in the sector.
