Sex scandal: No corroborative evidence against lawmakers.
The minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, has said that the United States have desired not provide evidence of
allegations against the three members of the house of representatives accused of sexual misconduct .
Appearing before the joint committee on ethics and privileges and foreign affairs, the minister explained that James Entwistle, the outgoing ambassador of US to Nigeria was only calling the attention of speaker Yakubu Dogara and regretted that his letter was leaked to the public.
After several adjourment of the public hearing the minister of foreign affairs,Geoffrey Onyeama has said accused members have not been found guilty, saying Nigerians need to understand that only allegations were made but not charges.
The joint committees chaired by Ossai Ossai and Nnena Ukeje expressed concern that the US government had already punished the accused members by revoking their visas.
The lawmakers however described the actions of the US as defamation of character.
They went further to affirm their innocence saying if issues like this are not addressed ordinary Nigerians will continue to fall victims,promising not to relent till justice Is served.

Entwistle who promised to furnish the house with evidence against the law-makers was again absent at the hearing and had through the minister of foreign affairs said the US hotelier who claimed to be assaulted is not ready to appear before the committee to give evidence.
The accused law-makers are Mohammed Gololo, Samuel Ikon and Mark Gbillah.
