Reps to probe Bailout to states

The House of Representatives on Thursday resolved to probe issues surrounding bailout funds given to states by the Federal Government.

According to lawmakers, the utilization of funds, level of compliance with targets will be investigated. 
The resolution emanated from a motion raised under “Matters of Urgent National Importance,’’ by Sunday Karimi which was unanimously adopted by members through a voice vote.
However,lawmakers have expressed dismay that many of the beneficiary-states had failed to utilize the funds properly.
Speaking as a representative  of Ekiti state, Kehinde Agboola blamed the past administration for the hardship being faced with by the country.
The speaker House of Representatives,Yakubu Dogara set up an adhoc committee to investigate the terms and conditions of disbursement of the funds.
