Coach carrying British teens overturns on French motorway
A bus carrying teenagers from Wales crashed in eastern France, injuring 13 people.
Local media reports that the coach crashed into a ditch on the A39 motorway near the Swiss border, in Lons-le-Saunier
Most of the 48 passengers on board were aged 14 to 17. Three people are apparently ‘seriously hurt’, but there have not been any fatalities.
Two rescue helicopters were sent to the site and have now taken the injured passengers to the hospital.
French police say no other vehicles were involved.
A spokesman for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office told Metro.co.uk: ‘We are providing support to a group of British nationals following a coach crash in France. We are in contact with the relevant local authorities.’
