Better Health for All: FG Lauches Rapid Results initiative.
The Federal Government has concluded plans to commence the treatment of 200 thousand severe acutely malnourished children who are under-5 in north-eastern region of
the country.
Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole revealed this today, at the official launch of the "Better Health 4 All BH4A" programme,in Abuja.
Adewole who noted that acute malnutrition is a life threatening situation and a silent killer in in under-5 children, noted that the BH4A programme is a Rapid Results Initiative(RRI) aimed at responding to critical needs of the people and promoting health with a focus on Access,Affordability and Demand.
The Minister further explained that the BH4A programme would be deployed in seven major areas including Revitalization of Primary Health Centres, screening of nigerians for major diseases among others.
The programme which its implementation process is expected to take-off within 100 days is the Buhari administration's RRI, jointly designed and promoted with the Rapid Results Institute in the United states of America.
