Court Orders Worldwide Freeze Of $1.8 Billion In Assets Stolen By Kola Aluko, Jide Omikore And Atlantic Energy

A federal high court in Lagos has granted a Mareva injunction permitting the Nigerian government to freeze assets owned by two Nigerian businessmen Kola Aluko and Jide Omokore, and their company Atlantic Energy. The individuals are linked to former Nigerian oil minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke in a wide range shady business dealings that illegally transferred Nigerian oil assets to them and their companies.

Angelina Jolie Now Visiting Lecturer At London School Of Economics

American actress, filmmaker and humanitarian, Angelina Jolie is now a visiting professor at the prestigious  London School of Economics (LSE). Reports indicate that she will join former foreign secretary William Hague as a lecturer at the university’s Centre for Women, Peace and Security. She will be teaching students studying for masters degree. Reacting to the appointment, Angelina Jolie said: ‘I am very encouraged by the creation of this master’s programme. Buhari’s Last One Year Has Been “A Colossal Waste” - Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, on Wednesday, May 25, described the last one year of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration as “a colossal waste”, predicting that the hardship being experienced by Nigerians will continue till 2019. According to him, Nigerians are suffering because they refused his warnings. Fayose said this in his assessment of the first anniversary of Buhari. “Nigerians should be reminded that the manner of hardship being faced now was also faced during Buhari’s first coming as a military dictator when people had to queue for essential commodities.
